Basic Fire Control Box
The Remote Fire Control Box is a programmable firing system designed to enable safe, repeatable, and precise control of weapon actuation during research and development testing. The system allows users to define and execute custom firing sequences, eliminating human variability and enabling consistent data collection across test conditions.
Multiple firing modes are available to support a wide range of testing applications, including direct user-controlled firing, semi-automatic programmed sequences, and extended actuation for machine gun evaluation. These capabilities make the system well suited for endurance testing, suppressor surge evaluation, and controlled firing cycle development.
Integrated digital outputs allow the control box to synchronize external instrumentation, including data acquisition systems, high-speed cameras, and acoustic sensors, ensuring all data streams are time-aligned during testing.
Key Features
• Programmable firing control for repeatable R&D test sequences
• Three operating modes: manual control, semi-automatic, and machine gun actuation
• Touchscreen interface for defining and storing custom firing profiles
• Dual electronic pneumatic actuation for reliable, redundant operation
• Compatible with shop air or compressed CO2 systems
• Battery-powered for remote and field testing applications
• Isolated digital outputs for triggering external equipment
• Synchronization capability for DAQ systems, cameras, lighting, and microphones
• Compatible with Bighorn modular pneumatic actuator systems
